Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice is one alluring movie, fans are looking forward to in 2016. Comic book fans are living in a golden age with many movie adaptations of their favorite superheroes. They are literally spoilt for choice with the deluge of superheroes movies coming out every year. Last week Marvel debuted the trailer for Captain America: Civil War.
Today Warner Bros. have released a new look at Zack Snyder‘s highly anticipated Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice via a TV spot, which was aired during the latest episode of the series Gotham. The film is just a few months away and it is time the fans are treated to some new footage.
The upcoming movie picks up after the events of Man of Steel as Superman (Henry Cavill) finds himself dealing with the aftermath of his fight with General Zod. The fight between the two Kryptonians resulted in massive collateral damage and the world is on edge as Superman deals with the repercussions. Meanwhile, Batman (Ben Affleck) comes out of the shadows to fight against this alien presence.
Have an exclusive sneak at the latest spot here:
In the teaser above, we see Batman captured and held prisoner by Superman. As The Man of Steel lands heavily we see soldiers go down on their knees as they bow to him. The Kryptonian hero is clearly angry as he walks towards The Bat and rips of Batman’s mask.
The question is why are these soldiers bowing down to Superman? Our guess is Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg) has a hand in all of this, as we saw in the previous trailer Lex is cupping Superman’s chin as the superhero bows down to him. The TV spot is more of a sequence from the film then a trailer edit. The new Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice trailer is releasing on December 2nd on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
The film also stars Gal Gadot, Jeremy Irons, Diane Lane, Holly Hunter and Laurence Fishburne. Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice is out in theaters worldwide on March 25, 2016.
